Every year, 5,000 scholarships are offered for degree-level courses under the AICTE Pragati Scheme.
- Number: 5,000 students selected per year
- Eligibility: First-year students or second-year lateral entry students
- North Eastern States & Union Territories (UTs):
- All eligible girl students can apply
- All eligible girl students from the North Eastern States and Union Territories can apply. If the number of eligible applicants is lower, unutilised scholarships may be transferred to the AICTE Pragati Diploma Scholarship Scheme.
Includes: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli & Daman and Diu, Lakshadweep.
Reservation & Renewal
- Reservation is as per the Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC.
- Unutilized reserved seats are transferred to the General Category.
- Scholarship renewal is automatic on submission of a passing certificate/marksheet and a verification letter from the institution via NSP.
- Failure to promote to the next year leads to scholarship discontinuation.
Terms and Conditions
Applicants must note the following:
- The gap between passing the qualifying exam and admission should not exceed 2 years.
- Only verified online applications will be considered.
- Students receiving other financial aid must refund the AICTE scholarship if awarded.
- CGPA will be converted to a percentage using the formula: CGPA × 9.5.
