Delhi Government Nursery Admission 2026-27: The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, through the Directorate of Education, has issued official guidelines for admission to Entry Classes (Nursery/Balvatika-1, KG, and Class I) in Government Sarvodaya Vidyalayas for the academic session 2026-27. Admission Schedule for Delhi Government Nursery Admission 2026-27

The admission process for Entry Classes in all Government Sarvodaya Vidyalayas will begin on 02 March 2026 (Monday). Information regarding the Entry Class and the number of available seats will be displayed at the school gate or the notice board of each Sarvodaya Vidyalaya.

Application forms will be available from 02 March 2026 to 16 March 2026 (both days inclusive) on all working days.

Eligibility Criteria for Government Sarvodaya Vidyalayas

Only children residing in Delhi are eligible to apply for admission in Government Sarvodaya Vidyalayas.

Order of Priority for Admission

Admissions will be granted according to the following priority:

Category A:

  • Children residing within 1 km of the Sarvodaya Vidyalaya.
  • Children residing within 3 km, provided there is no Sarvodaya Vidyalaya within 1 km of their residence.

Category B:

  • Children residing within 3 km of the school, other than those covered in Category A.

Category C:

  • Children residing beyond 3 km. In such cases, parents must submit an undertaking ensuring safe transportation for the child.

If no Sarvodaya Vidyalaya is available within 3 km of a child’s residence, the child may apply to the nearest Sarvodaya Vidyalaya.
